Bom fim-de-semana!
When the answer was “yes!”, how did you imagine your day?
Intimate, loving day shared with our closest family and friends.
Did you feet prepared or was it a nerve-racking journey?
We felt stress free thanks to the wonderful wedding venue staff, photographer, videographer, and makeup artist. We did not have to move a finger on our special day. We were truly blessed.
At what point in the wedding planning did you feet, “this is for real”?
Bride: When my father entered my room, ready to walk me down to the chapel.
Groom: When I saw my beautiful bride walk down the aisle.
Is the result true to the initial ideas or is it very different? Did you had any help?
The result was fantastic! We could not have dreamt a better outcome. It was the most beautiful wedding and our family and friends loved it.
What was fundamental to you? And unimportant?
Fundamental: an intimate small wedding, and to not have to plan much. We wanted an all-inclusive venue and we did not really want to worry about the details. We fully trusted our vendors and wedding venue staff to do what they felt was best, using our ideas. Unimportant: we did not really care for being demanding or exacting in the ideas we had for the wedding. We just wanted a vague idea of color theme and decorations.
What was easier? And what was more difficult?
The whole planning process was super easy. The difficult part was communication via email with the wedding venue since we are from the United States. It took weeks sometimes to get e-mails replied to. In the end though, communication was really good.
What was the sentimental peak of your day?
When we were saying our vows to each other in front of our family and friends during our church ceremony.
And the peak of fun?
Our self-choreographed first dance as wife and husband. It was a blast!
A special detail…
Having our wedding vows secretly recorded on microphone during the wedding ceremony. It was truly a special thing to be able to hear them again in our wedding video! Thank you Miguel (our photographer/videographer)!
Now that it has happened, would you change anything?
Nothing! It was truly perfect for us.
Some words of advice for upcoming brides…
Do not stress over fine details. In the end, it is about you and your husband. Enjoy every single second of the wedding day because if flies!
