“The collection was inspired by Alice in Wonderland, creating a progressive journey of magic and fantasy with each and every gown. There was an emphasis on the woman’s back as they were expertly embellished with lace appliqués and crystals and cut lower than ever before. Along with low backs; nude underlays, precisely placed cutouts, deep v-necks and fun pallets brought out the sexiest bride Monique has ever dressed. Another change was her straying away from white and featuring a much softer palette full of nudes, blush tones and even a sky-blue and ‘mist’ that were complimentary to everyone’s skin tones. Of course ML staples were present; those romantic and enchanting gowns full of floating tulle, encrusted bodices and swooping layers of silk, including a show-stopping number which took over 85 pattern pieces to construct and was covered in over 2K crystals that Monique called the “ultimate fantasy”.”
